The 2019 User Interface (UI) design workshop!
The objective of this workshop is to introduce students to the basics of User Interface (UI) design and evaluation. The students will learn about the iterative nature of UI design and importance of prototyping. They will design a UI using a prototyping tool and evaluate each other’s designs.
The workshop is divided into five sections:
Section 1: The instructor will cover the core principles of UI design
Section 2: The instructor will discuss the various UI Evaluation methods applied in the industry and by the research community
Section 3: Using a prototyping tool, the instructor will design a simple application and ask the students to evaluate it
Section 4: The students will design their own UI for a simple application using a prototyping tool
Section 5: The students will evaluate each other’s designs
